The Deputy Mayor and Councillor of the Department for Social Welfare, Labour, Citizen Participation and Culture, Eberhard Grosske, introduced today the project of the ninth day care centre to be managed by the municipality of Palma and that will be providing services to elderly people in the Son Cladera neighbourhood. The neighbourhood entities have been requesting the municipal government team, via the neighbourhood council, for the opening of such a centre in their neighbourhood for a long time. Finally, it will be able to be built on a site located on Camí Nou nr. 9 of Son Cladera.

This day care centre will have a capacity for 30 people and will cover a surface of 350 square metres. The investment for these premises amounts to 593,220 €, that will be financed by the State Fund for Local Investment. The opening hours of the day care centre will be from 8:30 hrs in the mornings until 18:00 hrs in the afternoons and it is planned that the project will be accomplished in April 2011. Despite the fact that only one floor will be built to begin with, the project will be carried out in such a way as to allow for the building of max. two floors more in the future, according to the needs of the residents living in the area.  

The day care centre will be targeted at dependent elderly people and will provide workshops, nursing services, social and rehabilitation activities and professional assistance services provided to both senior citizens as well as their families. In order to offer these services, several multipurpose rooms, a kitchen, a lunch room, a laundry room, offices, a 50 m2 orchard, an outdoor terrace for activities and a car park for cars will be provided for at the centre.

A plaque in remembrance of the victims will be displayed, describing the monument as a symbol representing the democratic wish to never forget the horror of wars and dictatorships will be placed.

The contextualization tasks of sa Feixina's monolith will begin today. 

The JOAN ALCOVER Award for poetry in Catalan language, with a cash prize of 12,000 euros, has been awarded to 'Poltre(s)' by Pere Perelló i Nomdedéu.

The CAMILO JOSÉ CELA Award for literary criticism, with a cash prize of 12,000 euros, has been awarded to the work 'El crepuscle de la poesia' by Jaume Medina i Casanovas.

The INDEPENDENT ANIMATION AWARD, with a cash prize of 12,000 euros, has been awarded to the short story 'Cabaret Kadne', produced and directed by Marc Riba Roquer and Anna Solanas Santacana

The GUILLEM SAGRERA Award for architecture, awarding a cash prize of 18,000 euros, goes to the 'Portalada' project for the Sant Gaietà church (also known as Sacred Hearts' church), developed by the firm Martínez Lapeña - Torres Arquitectos s.l.p., made up of Elías Torres Tur and José Antonio Martínez Lapeña.

The ANTONI GELABERT Award for visual arts, awarding a cash prize of 18,000 euros, goes to the work 'Without title' by José Angel Sintes Sans.

The agreement reached by the Plenum of the City Council during the session held on 27th July 2009 established  a period of 60 days during which citizens will have the opportunity to file pleadings, complaints or make suggestions.

Hence, anyone interested will have the chance to obtain publicly available information on the Plan and to participate in a public hearing until the 26th October 2009.

Most of the works to be carried out wihtin our city, financed by the State Fund for Local Investment (FEILO), began to be planned at the beginning of April. A total of 117 projects, mainly focussing on the improvement of our city, will be completed. These projects, in turn, will generate 2,201 jobs.  On Wednesday, 29th April, the Mayoress of Palma, Aina Calvo, together with the Balearic Government deputy, Ramon Socias, introduced to all citizens the comprehensive programme of public works financed by the State Fund . 

Palma has received 67.8 million euros from the State Fund for Local Investment, made available by the Spanish Government. 

Please find attached a document in which you will find detailed information on each project. 

The document provided is the result of a thorough debate by the Popular Festivities' Committee, set up upon request of the council for citizen participation and that counts with the participation of cultural and neighbourhood associations and all municipal groups.

1) Provisional approval of the specific modifications to be undertaken within the scope of the General Plan (PGOU) in order to develop a large, fully-equipped public open area right next to the sea. This provisional approval has taken place after having analysed and evaluated almost all the suggestions submitted by the citizens during the project's public presentation period. The large park will, together with the Parc de la Mar and the Es Baluard del Príncep complex, will make up the Coastal Corridor (Corredor de Mar). The Sea Corridor will consist of a large park within the city, spread out on 125,000 square metres and located just beside the sea. The plan takes into consideration almost all suggestions that have been made by the citizens.

2) Initial approval of the Specific Modifications of the Congress Palace, to develop facilities that are of primary importance for the future of the city of Palma.

3) Approval of the agreement reached with Mapfre. Proceed with the agreement reached with Mapfre, whereby the City Council of Palma will be the owner of the plot of land located between the GESA building and the future Congress Palace.
 

The Mayoress of Palma considers that the decision of the President to promote this fund via the City Councils is "an unprecedented measure", of "acknowledgement and trust in the managing ability of the local administrations". Besides, Calvo adds that this decision "puts an end to many years of oblivion suffered by the local administrations" and relies on the work currently undertaken in practice by the City Councils as the administrations closest to the citizen. 

Aina Calvo specially emphasized that the criteria for the distribution of this fund must be based on the number of inhabitants living within each municipality, thus making a firm commitment for a fair and equal distribution of the funds and that shall be applied as a base pattern among the whole State. These funds represent a major financial support that aims to generate employment and help those people who are currently unemployed. Based upon Palma's population, which amounts to 400,000 people, the Mayoress believes that Palma could be receiving approximately 70 million euros, since a financial support of 177 euros per inhabitant has been determined.

The Mayoress of Palma has pointed out that this measure will not only benefit the City Council of Palma but also the whole group of municipalities making up the Balearic Islands, that will each be receiving the same sum per inhabitant. 

Besides, the Mayoress assured that this measure is a "great, very exciting challenge" for the City Council of Palma, as it will have the chance to demonstrate its "managing ability" via the proposal of public projects targeted to generate employment of unemployed people while, at the same time, will "move forward by making improvements within the City".

Taking into consideration the above, the Mayoress has explained that the projects must be submitted in January, thus meaning that the City Council is already working on this matter. The statal funds to be received for the development of projects aimed at generating employment will be added to the budget for investment purposes that has already been approved by the City Council for the year 2009.

Finally, the Mayoress reiterated the political significance of the decision taken by the President Mr. Rodríguez Zapatero of assigning the City Councils with such an important responsibility as is, nowadays, the promotion of employment.  

This quality management model focuses on finding out the needs of citizens, offer the required services and improve these services on a continuous basis. 

Thus, the Town Council of Palma has chosen, among other modernisation initiatives, to implement Service Charter that shall act as a tool to foster the communication and quality of its services. 

The main purpose of this Service Charter is to define and spread the service commitment assumed by the Town Council of Palma in response to the requirements voiced by the citizens, as well as to follow up the degree of accomplishment of these commitments and announce their results.

This Service Charter wishes to foster continuous service improvement by means of implementing a new methodology, new tools and techniques aimed at accomplishing a comprehensive quality management. 

The Town Council of Palma aims to become an efficient, effective and modern public administration that focuses on the citizens. This target is accomplished by the Service Charter for Support Services over the Telephone (SAT).

This denomination is the result of the adaptation of the name of the city to the Organic Law 1/2007 enacted on 28th February regarding the reform of the Statute of Autonomy of the Balearic Islands. Article 7 of the above mentioned law states that "the capital of the Balearic Islands is the city of Palma". Besides, the article states that "the municipality of Palma will have a special law on the capital city established by the Parliament of the Balearic Islands".

The Register of Local Entities is made up of two different registers: one register where the denomination is stated as a municipality (that has now been modified) and a second register where the denomination is stated as a capital and that was modified upon the publication of the Organic Law 1/2007 enacted on 28th February regarding the reform of the Statute of Autonomy of the Balearic Islands in the official state gazette (Boletín Oficial del Estado) number 52 from March 2007. Article number 7 of this organic law stipulates that the capital of the Balearic Islands is the city of Palma. This is how it had been declared at that moment in the Register of Local Entities that registered the denomination "Palma" as a capital.

The new modification in the register entry is the result of the approval of the Law on the Capital in June 2008. 

The statement of motives of the Law on the Capital states that the "enforcement of the reform of the Statute of Autonomy of the Balearic Islands suggests adapting the place name of the municipality in accordance to the name conferred by the Statute and by the valid Decree 36/1988 enacted on 14th April that regulates the official place names, and to change the denomination of "Palma de Mallorca", that is stated both in the law title as well as in several rules therein, to "Palma"".

This event, called "The challenge of mobile telephony: Citizens, businesses and public administrations", will count with the attendance of representatives of the Ministry of Health and Consumption, of the national Government and of the Town Council of Palma. In order to encourage the participation of all sectors affected by the new Regulation, a debate will be held on Saturday 4th October that will count with the participation of members of different neighbourhood associations, telephone companies and municipal representatives. 

The measures undertaken by the Department of Infrastructure consist in setting 102 traps across the Bellver forest. This action is bieng supported and carried out by the Bellver Forest School Workshop. These traps, consisting of boxes containing pheromones, attract the male moths that begin to eclose at this time of year. A total of ten boxes will be observed throughout the summer, but it will not be until the end of September and beginning of October that a definitive count will be made that will reveal the caterpillar population levels. This, in turn, will allow us to forecast the expected impact of the caterpillar plague on the Bellver park within the scope of the upcoming winter caterpillar campaign.

Besides, this campaign aims to raise the awareness of the remaining entities and individuals wishing to use this same procedure. If interested, please contact the Council for the Environment of the Balearic Government, that highly recommends setting one pheromone trap per hectare and provides information on its website, on the menu "Punt d'Informació Ambiental" (Environmental Information Centre).

The Mayoress of Palma Aina Calvo has awarded this morning, within the scope of a ceremony held at 12:00 hours at the plenary hall, 5 diplomata acknowledging their recipients as a public officials of the Town Council of Palma. Mrs. Calvo has congratulated them for their incorporation and has pointed out the fact that they are young people closely related to culture and IT: The five new public officials are: Francisco José Sapiña Tomàs, who has become horn music teacher; Encarna Isabel Laguia, who will be a new library assistant, Juan Rodríguez Zarzo, who will be a new oboe music teacher; Sergio Castelló Ambou, who has taken office as a bassoon music teacher and Manuel Grimalt, who has become an IT operator. 

Last year's total budget has been multiplied by six. The 30,000 € available for the school year 2007-08 has been increased to 180,000 € for the school year 2008-09.

This grant of subsidies has been discussed and approved by the Permanent Commission of the Municipal School Council of Palma on 2nd April 2008 and has resulted in a positive report of all councillors. 

There are two subsidy application forms available: 

 A.     For the realisation of school and after-school activities in Palma's schools, in order to support the projects carried out by the schools and targeted to the teaching staff of all schools within Palma, according to the report made by the school committee, if available.

B.      For the realisation of after-school activities in Palma's schools and targeted to the Parents' Associations, Pupils' Associations and other non-profit organisations or individuals in Palma. 

Criteria: Projects to be taken into consideration shall:

• Favour an education based on values, scholar co-existence, tolerance and respect towards diversity
• Activities targeted to combine successfully family and work
• Projects carrying out activities available to anyone in the district as well as those carried out together with other educational centres
• Activities organised in conjoint collaboration with the AMIPA association and the teaching staff, and/or with other district associations.
• Projects dedicated to fight against gender stereotypes and traditional gender roles
• Foster especially the use of Catalan language among pupils

Every school may submit 1 project for each application form

The maximum subsidy per project amounts to 9,000 €.

The following will not be subsidised:

• Subsidy of trips outside the island
• Transport costs
• Sport activities
• Supervising tutors for the realisation of activities during school hours. 
  

The Municipal Elementary Music Conservatory will be offering from next Monday until Friday the first summer workshop targeted to music teachers of pre-school and primary education, of music schools and conservatories from the Balearics. A total of 110 people have signed up to the workshop.

The objective of this pioneer musical training session, that includes 10 different courses, is to provide teachers with new pedagogical resources. The course content focuses especially on the use of new technologies, that will become a highly efficient tool in future musical education. Due to this reason, a course on Music Informatics will be offered, with a total of 18 PCs available to users. This course will take place Monday to Friday from 9:00 hours until 11:00 hours. The musical training session will include, among other activities, daily conferences, concerts, exhibitions of instruments and debates. 

The musical training will end on 4th July with a debate on the application of the Organic Law on Education that will begin at 11:00 hours and that will be attended by the Assistant Director for Academic Regulation of the Ministry of Education, Juan López Martínez, and by the Head Officer of the Permanent Learning Service of the Council for Education, Susana Pla Rimbau.

The Mayoress, Aina Calvo, was the first to speak at the debate, at 9:30 hours in the morning. After she finished, it was the turn of the spokesman from the UM, Miquel Nadal, of the spokesman of the Bloc group, Eberhard Grosske, of the spokesman of the PSIB-PSOE, José Hila, and, finally, of the spokeswoman from the PP, Catalina Cirer. During the debate, which endured the whole morning, the different points of view of each attendee about the city's management of the current government during the first year of legislation were discussed. 

The Mayoress also visited the Old People's Home in the La Vileta district. Later on, she visited the Son Serra public school, where she met representatives of the Neighbourhood Association, of Son Serra's public school AMIPA association and the school's principal. 

The event celebrated at the Fine Arts' Society of Madrid was also attended by the President of the Balearic Government, Francesc Antich. During her intervention, Calvo emphasized on Papell's condition as a citizen of Palma and highlighted the author's severe political analysis presented in the book.

During the visit to the Son Dameto district, Antoni Donaire, councillor for the East Disrict joined the tour too. The visit to the Son Dameto district represents the Mayoress' firm commitment to approach more often all of the city's districts in order to get to know, from first hand, their needs and concerns. Throughout the last few weeks, Calvo has visited the following districts: Bons Aires, El Terreno and El Puig de Sant Pere.

The National Day of Organ and Tissue Donors, celebrated on 4th June, was celebrated during the event. The plaque on stone with the inscription "From the City of Palma to those who, by donating organs, give life" has been placed at the Sa Feixina Park, near corner with Passeig Marítim. Upon the request of the ALCER association, the Plenum of the City Council of Palma agreed unanimously on 26th May to honour organ donors with a plaque on behalf of all citizens.

The 1st Summer Workshop for Music Teachers will offer several courses and other complementary activities related to music. The programme of events has been created following conversations with music teachers from the Balearics. This has allowed us to create a programme of events that will approach the needs of schools and improve the quality of services offered on a daily basis thanks to an improved training of teachers. 

The 1st Summer Workshop for Music Teachers will be held between 30th June until 4th July at the Municipal Elementary Music Conservatory of Palma.

A total of 10 simultaneous courses will be offered from 9:00 hours until 20:00 hours.

Every course will consist of 10 hours, split up in five sessions of 2 hours each.

The price of each course is 25€.

The 1st Summer Workshop for Music Teachers offers a total of 150 places.

In order to facilitate the attendance to the courses, these will be offered both in the mornings and in the afternoons.
Thus, each person will have the chance to sign up to a total of 4 courses. 

The decisions taken by the Treasury and Local Financing Committee from the FEMP would flow into the Bilateral Committee. The FEMP demands that the negotiations taking place between the Central Government and the town councils shall take place simultaneously and be related to the negotiations of the Financing of the autonomous regions. 

Calvo expressed her satisfaction about this decision and stated that "the consensus has prevailed above the positions of any of the political groups. Thus, the town councils are also the State". 

This programme has been in operation since the end of 2005, is managed by the COPIB (Official Association of Psychologists of the Balearics) and is municipally financed. Its purpose is to provide  support services and advice in cases of gender-based violence and  provide and manage the training offered to professionals by means of a series of annual agreements. 

In order to ensure the continuation of this collaboration, several conversations were held in January 2008 between the technical staff from both institutions responsible for the programme in order to establish the continuity of the agreement, following a municipal proposal envisaging the extension of the services currently provided to a wider segment of the population - a petition put forward by associated services -, the establishment of follow-up group sessions, to be held after the evaluation and treatment period has been accomplished, and the implementation of further adjustments (concerning management expenses, ...).
    
After four months of technical evaluation, a process that managed to reduce the differences to calendar issues that were subject of analysis by the parties, the COPIB announced that it was not able assume the continuity of the programme any further. In view of this, the municipal services convoked a meeting on 13th May 2008 involving all parties, during which the transfer of all cases currently subject to treatment, the economic settlement and the delivery of the report was discussed. The aforementioned tasks will be carried out within a framework that will ensure that those people, who are currently subject to treatment, are taken care of. 
 
It is the wish of the Council for Equality and Civil Rights to continue developing this programme. Hence, the Municipal Team against Gender-Based Violence ensures that those people, who are currently being provided treatment, as well as those people demanding services, will be provided with quality support services, based upon a methodology that has been thoroughly tested.  

The Council is grateful to the COPIB for the collaboration and assistance provided, and especially thanks the psychologists who have participated in the programme for the assistance provided.  

The objective is to spread, promote and encourage civic behaviour among citizens by means of promoting a project that has been developed by the Town Council. Civic behaviour reflects the essence of a city in which all citizens of Palma wish to live in: an area characterised by harmonic co-existence an an elegant city marked by respect for each other. 

The campain is targeted to those citizens who are involved in the three main areas on which the project focusses on. They are the main ones that can help us improve the city and whose positive behaviour directly results in a positive effect on the environment. 

Three different videos portray the different proposals:

Elegance: An elegant lady walks her dog and considers that the right and elegant thing to do is not to pollute the environment with her pet. (Video)

Co-existence: A father teaches his son how to dispose waste into the right container as of 19:00 hours. (Video)

Respect: A young person whose passionate hobby are motorbikes prefers to listen to the sound of his motor through the headphones of his mp3. (Video)

Opening hours: Mondays to Fridays from 8:30 hours until 14:00 hours
 

Three of the last five people still living in the former dog track were reallocated today to a subsidised flat for rent, after the signature of a social and job market integration contract. The two other people  have major personal problems, thus making the above mentioned measures impossible. These two people accepted to participate in specific programmes held at the social inclusion centres managed by the Insular Council of Mallorca, as a previous step towards their social and job market integration.

By means of these evacuation and reallocation measures, the area comprising the former dog track will again be at the disposal of the City, as it is envisaged to become part of the Sa Riera Park. Furthermore, these reallocation measures represent an opportunity to integrate homeless people back into the society. 

The Culture Congress has not been merely planned as an event to host a series of conferences, at which the audience would only assume the role of listeners. Instead it has been conceived as a participative process, where the ideas and experiences from some people will enrich others and viceversa, thus helping the Council to plan the tasks for the next four years in office. 

It is for this reason that the Congress has been organised in different stages.

During the first stage, several strategies have been developed to collect information that will help us to establish a diagnosis of the situation of culture within Palma.

The tools that have been developed are detailed below:

- Surveys to evaluate the cultural services offered and to collect suggestions
A total of 480 surveys have been collected from different cultural and leisure centres and services and throughout the celebration of certain cultural events: theatres, concerts, events performed at Ses Voltes, Cultural Centres, Youth Centres, CIJ, libraries, museums, at the fair for popular and traditional culture and during the Sant Sebastià festivity.

The cultural activities that have become object of analysis are the following: cinema, libraries, music concerts, popular culture, events in Catalan language, exhibitions, stage arts, monuments, museums, cultural centres and conferences. 

The first result of the analysis shows that the cultural activity with the highest number of visitors is cinema (31%), followed by libraries (21.9%) and music concerts (20.8%). However, the activities that show the lowest participation are conferences (7.1%).

It is interesting to highlight at this point that women are the ones attending any type cultural event the most, may this be from a global point of view with 56.9% or from the point of view of each single cultural activity, The age range varies with regards to the cultural offer. Thus, libraries, cultural centres or events in Catalan language are mostly visited by women between the age of 19 and 35 years whereas women between the age of 30 and 44 years tend to visit monuments, museums, stage arts or conferences. With regards to the level of studies, we can see that the visitors attending most cultural events have the GCSE certificate or a university degree and generally have been born in Palma and live there. 

The level of satisfaction of users of cultural activities, taking into account the answers from those who often or from time to attend cultural events does not differ with regards to the cultural event. It is worth mentioning that the group of those who are satisfied (42%) is quite close to those who are little satisfied (41%).

On the other hand, what is mostly praised by the users of cultural events is: the time of the cultural performances, the location where the cultural events take place and their arrangement, whereas the things they least appreciate are: architectonic barriers, payment systems and the way the events are being published. 
 

The Department for Social Welfare, fully aware of the structural and social welfare disequilibrium among the different countries in the world, wishes to contribute effectively to the eradication of poverty. 

Thus, the Government Junta has approved today Wednesday the granting of subsidies for the realisation of solidary and cooperation projects.

The total subsidy budget approved amounts to 1,312,000 € and will be distributed according to the following percentages:

• 918,000 € towards Cooperation, making up 70% of the budget
• 196,875 € towards Emergencies and Humanitarian Aid, making up 15% of the budget
• 131,250 € towards Awareness. Activities that will raise the social awareness of the society of the country providing the financial aid. This sum makes up 10% of the budget.
• 65,625 € towards Co-development. This type of cooperation is based upon activities carried out by citizens coming from other countries and who, as members of associations, assume a major role in cooperation policies. This sum makes up 5% of the budget.

During this year and as a novelty with regards to previous policies related to cooperation issues, the Council for Social Welfare will announce a further subsidy budget aimed at promoting a contest of ideas among the NGOs in order to develop projects in Sub-Saharan and Latin American countries, thus working in Territories that deserve Priority Action (ATAP). A sum amounting to 700,000 € will be sent towards the development of these areas.
 

-          A huge park, with an approximate size of 40,000 square metres

-          Public equipment of low visual impact, and

-          A huge underground parking with 1,000 parking places

This is the way the Mayoress of Palma, Aina Calvo, explained the project today. She was joined by her colleagues from the Balearic Government, the Councillor Miquel Nadal and the deputy Mayor Eberhard Grosske. The three of them portrayed the advance in the modification works of Palma's General Urban Plan (PGOU). This Plan represents a firm commitment for change in the City's maritime façade, thus meaning that the building of private luxury property will no longer be allowed but will instead become, according to the Mayoress' words, "a huge green public area for all citizens".

The Government team looks forward to the approval of these works during the session of the municipal plenum to be held on 31st March for their public exhibition throughout the month of April until the middle of May. The objective is to approve, before the month of July, the initial modification works planned in the PGOU, thus complying with the licence cancellation period approved by the City Council in order to avoid construction on this urban ground prior to the feasibility study of a new maritime façade as a result of the catalogisation of the GESA building as real estate property. 

Around 300 people attended the event that was held at the Pueblo Español (Spanish Village) in Palma. It was at this venue where Cristina Cerdó, who was introduced to the audience by Miquel Nadal, the municipal representative of the political group "Unión Mallorquina" at the Town Council, explained that the Plan to Enhance the Cleaning of Palma has all the required ingredients to be successful. In this sense, she stated that the Plan arrives just in time, following the suggestions and worries brought forward by the company's employees, for it has been them who laid the foundations of this new project in order to achieve the realisation of a subject matter that has long been overdue: the cleaning of Palma.

This new bus line connects Playa de Palma with the city centre by means of a highway route. The new route has an approximate duration of 30 minutes and thus is much faster than the 50 minutes that are currently been required by the bus line 15 to cover the same route. Thanks to this service improvement, citizens and visitors will have the chance to reach the city centre in a shorter time. However, citizens may still continue using the usual bus line 15, that connects Playa de Palma with Can Pastilla, Coll den Rebassa, Es Molinar and Palma.

The reason for this new bus line is to help clear the bus line 15, that transports 6.6 million passengers on an annual basis. Furthermore, passengers taking the bus line 15 to Can Pastilla, Es Coll and Es Molinar will have a more comfortable travelling experience.

On the other hand, the bus line 30 (Plaza de Espanya Hospital San Juan de Dios) will be enhanced, as its travelling itinerary will reach until Can Pastilla. This implies the elimination of bus line 17, Plaza de España, Ses Fontanelles, that was scarcely used.

The new bus line will travel through different areas within the city: Son Armadans, Son Dameto, Son Cotoner, es Camp Redó, Son Oliva, la Soledat, etc.; it enables a connection to hospitals such as Son Dureta, Clínica Juaneda and Policlínica Miramar, drives past school areas, takes passengers to the parkings from the Municipal Parking Association (SMAP), drives nearby municipal sport centres, the metro station, etc.

Provisional route
Due to the construction of the new Parc de ses Estacions, this line will, provisionally, drive through the Amanecer district and past the Carrer Eusebi Estada. Once the construction works have finished, the bus line will drive past the Carrer de Jacint Verdaguer.

The CITARO vehicles
The CITARO vehicles of 12 metres length have a capacity for 102 passangers and since they are "EURO II" and "EURO III" type vehicles, their polluting gas emissions are minimised. This sort of vehicle model is much more resistant than usual busses and has a strengthened structure, thus ensuring security, good driving conditions and powerful air conditioning, as well as allowing optimal maintenance.

From 6:00 hours until 23:30 hours
The Son Dureta bus line, that drives in the direction Son Cotoner - Son Oliva - Polígon de Llevant, will start its service at 6:00 hours. The last bus will depart at 23:00 hours. The service that drives in the opposite direction, towards Polígon de Llevant - Son Oliva - Son Cotoner will start its service at 6:08 hours and the last bus will depart at 23:30 hours.

On Saturdays and holidays, the first departure in direction Son Cotoner - Son Oliva - Polígon de Llevant will be at 6:00 hours and the last bus will leave at 23:00 hours. The service driving towards the opposite direction will start at 6:15 hours and the last bus will depart at 23:30 hours.

Daily over 1,600 km
It is forecasted that the 4 vehicles driving the first route will cover a daily distance of 13.5 km and make 59 tours, thus representing a total of 796.5 km/day. The 4 busses driving in the opposite direction will cover 13.344 km in over 63 tours, amounting to a total of 840.672 km/day.

On Saturdays and holidays, only 4 busses will be on duty. It is forecasted that these four busses will be covering a total daily distance of 885.852 km: the 2 vehicles driving the first route will cover approximately 13.5 km spread over 33 routes and the two busses travelling in the opposite direction will approximately travel 13.344 km in 33 routes.

The toy library is targetted to children between 3 and 9 years. This service gives parents the chance to shop at the Olivar Market.

The toy library is divided up into different areas:

The shop, the house, the the disguise room, the reading room, the car room, table games, strategy games, memory games and skill glames.

This toy library was opened two months ago and has been very successful since its opening.

OPENING DAYS AND HOURS: 
 
Fridays between 16:00 hours and 20:00 hours.
Saturdays between 10:00 hours and 14:00 hours.

REGISTRATION FEE

1 Euro per child and per day.

The revenues from the service will be invested in the maintenance of the toy library. Each child will stay for a maximum of 2 hours.

The grand opening of the special service, that will be available during the whole season, will take place next Sunday. The fans will be able to attend the stadium from Porto Pi (exit route begin at 5:50 pm), Aragó-Rafal Nou (exit route begin at 5:40 pm) and Plaça de la Reina (exit route begin at 6:00 pm).

Three buses will cover the route to Son Moix:

1-ITINERARY STARTING AT THE PLAÇA DE LA REINA: (exit 1 hour before the game).
*BUS 1: Plaça de la Reina, Jaume III, Passeig Mallorca, Miguel dels Sants Oliver, Plaça Barcelona, Francisco Martí Mora, Salvador Dalí, Policlínica, SON MOIX.

2-ITINERARY STARTING AT ARAGÓ-RAFAL NOU: (exit 1 hour and 20 min. before the game).
*BUS 2: Rafal Nou, Can Capes, Cr. Aragó 135, Els Hostalets, Cr Aragó 47, Cr Aragó 25, Shopping Center, Plaça d'Espanya, Comte Sallent, General Riera 30, General Riera 44, General Riera 54, General Riera 78, General Riera 104, General Riera 120, General Riera 142, Shopping Center, Coronel Beorlegui, SON MOIX.

3-ITINERARY STARTING AT PORTO PI: (exit 1 hour and 10 min. before the game)
*BUS 3: Joan Miró, Plaça Gomila, s¿ Aigua Dolça, Marquès de la Sènia 37, Marquès de la Sènia 11, Plaça Progrés, Carrer Caro 7, Indústria 8, Indústria 44, Llibertat 22, Llibertat 36, Dragonera 14, Son Rapinya 4, SON MOIX.

At the end of the games, all buses will cover the routes back.

Line 8 will accomplish this service as well, since it will continue the usual route passing by Son Moix:
