08/02/2007 The mayoress of Palma, Catalina Cirer, was awarded the above mentioned Certificate by the General Director of TÜV Rheinland in Spain, Lluis Bassas.

 

The Certificate of Quality 9001:2000 was awarded on the 7th February to the Town Council of Palma within the scope of a celebration held in the Plenary Hall of the Town Council. This document certifies that the Town Council of Palma works in accordance to a Quality Management System based on the ISO norm 9001:2000.

This acknowledgement leads the way towards a process of continuous improvement. Furthermore, the Town Council of Palma will have to overcome audits successfully, giving proof that we work efficiently and effectively, always aiming to improve the services offered to the citizen.

The following attended the event: The Alderman for Treasury and Human Resources, Pedro Álvarez, the responsible person for Quality of the Town Council, the responsible agents of the 12 processes, the remaining Town Council aldermen as well as numerous reporters of local and national press. Representatives of other Majorcan institutions and representatives of the Town Council of Tenerife attended the event too.
